The Full Mash Process

The full mash process is the closest thing you can get to brewing beer like a professional real ale brewery. It can be quite a complicated process and therefore shouldn't be attempted by a complete beginner. We recommend that a beginner learns the process in stages starting with the use of concentrates then progressing onto malt extract before finally trying the full mash process. You need to follow a recipe and buy the ingredients separately to make the beer of your choice. For detailed instructions and a selection of recipes you need to buy a good book.

We can recommend the following book which also covers using concentrates, using malt extract and the full mash process:-

Our full mash kit contains all the necessary equipment to get started with the full mash process.
